About us
VIRIDIS is a non-profit civil-society organisation based in Dnipro, Ukraine.
We carry out applied and fundamental research and promote innovation across ecological biotechnology, industrial decarbonisation, renewable energy, circular economy, and the digital tools that support them.
Our work connects Ukrainian research and demonstration sites with European partners to deliver science-based solutions for a safe environment and a sustainable future.

What we do
Four connected fields where we combine technical depth with a regenerative, low-carbon outlook.
CO2 capture (CCUS), biofuels, biohydrogen, biochar, wastewater treatment and biomass valorisation, validated through lab and pilot experiments.
Applied research in bioprocesses and environmental engineering for cleaner industry, resource recovery and pollution reduction.
Web platforms, decision-support tools, open-source software, and FAIR research-data management for energy and environmental applications.
Soil remediation of degraded and war-affected land, and sustainable rebuilding of energy, water and communal infrastructure.
For partners
VIRIDIS combines technical expertise across biotechnology, circular economy, digital tools and land restoration with direct access to Ukrainian sites and real-world challenges. Here is what we can bring to a joint project.
Applied research and technology validation. We design, run and validate lab and pilot experiments in decarbonisation, circular economy, water treatment and biomass valorisation, helping move promising ideas toward real deployment.
Digital platforms and research data. We build web platforms, decision-support tools and open-source software, and manage research data to FAIR standards, including data management plans for collaborative projects.
Ukrainian testbeds and local insight. We provide access to demonstration sites, field conditions and regulatory and legal analysis, connecting your work to Ukraine's green reconstruction and its harmonisation with EU standards.
Joint proposals and shared impact. We co-develop research proposals, contribute to project coordination and dissemination, and run training and capacity-building so results reach the people who need them.
